Our History . . . and it’s only just the beginning !

The Calgary Drum Club is affiliated both nationally and internationally as a “Heritage Hands” Drum Club in association with Canadian Associates Drumming Rudimental Excellence (C.A.D.R.E.)

Although the Calgary Drum Club was formed in an effort to preserve, document and showcase the art of precision rudimental drumming, the group has quickly grown and evolved into one of Canada’s “premiere” performing percussion ensembles.

Since its very first rehearsal and inaugural performance at the internationally televised 2007 Calgary Stampede Parade the ensemble has met with rave reviews and now performs regularly throughout Canada. The CDC performs drum solos (from both Canadian and International composers) that range in date from the 1800’s up to and including the contemporary compositions of today that have been described as “absolutely scintillating !”

In less than 2 short years, the Calgary Drum Club and its members have performed numerous local exhibitions at and for: the Calgary Stampede Parade, the Calgary Exhibition & Stampede Grandstand Show, the Calgary Marathon, the City of Calgary, the Economical Insurance Group and the Airdrie Pro Rodeo Canada Day Parade to name but just a few.
